Typefoundry explores the history of type through single examples. It has been going for a few years now, but it’s only updated every few months, so each new post has become something of an event. It’s unashamedly academic too, which is actually somehow refreshing.

We love Ace Jet 170. As the strapline says, it’s a blog dedicated to ‘Found type, print and stuff’ – books, photos and eye-catching objects found anywhere from junk shops to littering the pavement. If you like interesting stuff – and we all do at heart – then here’s a great place to while away a happy few minutes.

Lovely as a Tree is one of our favourite sites, ever. It is a fantastic resource for environmentally aware graphic design, with the perfect tone of voice: fresh, informative and not at all cutesy. We only wish that we’d done it. Oooh — the envy!
